Sokoto monarch’s capture, killing barbaric



The Speaker of the Area of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has expressed unhappiness over the demise of the District Head of Gatawa in Sokoto Order, Isa  Bawa, within the kidnappers’ den.

The bandits had abducted the overdue District Head of Gatawa and his son on July 29. The overdue Bawa used to be reported to have died in captivity.

Abbas in a commentary via his media aide, Musa Krishi on Thursday decried that the capture and remedy of the overdue emir had been inhuman.

He stated, “In the first place, the bandits’ kidnap of the traditional ruler was barbaric, their treatment of the late Sarkin Gobir as inhuman.”

He decried the continual kidnapping for ransom within the nation, declaring that it “was unacceptable.”

The Speaker despatched heartfelt reassurances to the people of the overdue Sarkin Gobir, the Gatawa District in Sabon Birni Native Govt, the society, and the federal government of Sokoto Order over the irreparable loss.

He prayed that  “Allah would have mercy on the soul of the late Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa and make Jannatul Firdaus his final abode.”
