Reps donate N100m to Borno spillage sufferers

The Area of Representatives, on Tuesday, donated the sum of N100 million to the sufferers of the hot spillage in Maiduguri, the Borno Climate capital.

A delegation from the legislative frame, led via the Chairman of the Northern Regional Caucus, Alhassan Doguwa, visited Maiduguri on Tuesday to sympathise and commiserate with the federal government and society of the situation over the terrible incident. The delegation introduced the donation in the name of the Area.

The delegation met with the governor of the situation, Prof Babagana Zulum, the place Doguwa introduced the intervention of the Area in the name of the Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas.

“We also pledge the National Assembly’s readiness to liaise with the Federal Government to develop a legislative framework or any possible budgetary intervention to assist state governments in addressing the impacts of flood disasters in the country,” Doguwa stated.
