The Nigerian Meteorological Company has predicted thunderstorms national from Monday, September 23, to Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
NiMet’s climate outlook exempt in Abuja on Sunday forecast morning thunderstorms on Monday over portions of Sokoto, Kebbi and Borno states.
In line with it, thunderstorms are envisaged over portions of Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Taraba, Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto states nearest within the moment.
“Thunderstorms are expected over portions of the Federal Capital Dimension, Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau and Kwara states all the way through the morning hours.
“Within the afternoon and night classes, independent thunderstorms are anticipated over portions of Kwara, the Federal Capital Dimension, Niger, Benue and Kogi states.
“Rains are envisaged over the southwest inland, particularly portions of Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Ogun extending to the coastal states of Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Move River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states all the way through the morning hours, “ it stated.
The company envisaged thunderstorms over portions of Enugu, Edo, Ebonyi, Ondo, Abia, Osun, Imo, Ekiti, Delta, Bayelsa, Move River, Rivers and Lagos states nearest within the moment.
NiMet said, “Thunderstorms are envisaged over portions of the Federal Capital Dimension, Niger, Benue and Nasarawa States inside the morning hours.
“Then within the moment thunderstorms are anticipated over the Federal Capital Dimension, Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau and Kwara States.
“Morning rains are envisaged over portions of Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Move River and Rivers States hour the excess portions of the South will have to be unlit.
“Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue states,” amongst others.
NiMet steered citizens to steer clear of flood-prone boxes as there’s a prime probability of city flood in main towns because of obese downpours.
In line with it, robust winds might precede the rains in boxes the place thunderstorms are more likely to happen, so the nation will have to snatch sufficient precautions.
