XE Jet, Nigeria Basketball Federation ink travel deal for D’Tigress




XE Jet has announced a landmark strategic partnership with the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) as the Official Aviation Partner of Nigeria’s Senior Women’s National Basketball Team, D’Tigress.

The agreement represents one of the  significant aviation partnerships in African basketball and underscores a shared commitment to supporting the continued global rise of Nigeria women’s national basketball team, Africa’s most successful women’s basketball program.

Through this partnership, XE Jet will provide dedicated aviation and travel logistics support for D’Tigress, ensuring the team travels at the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and comfort as they represent Nigeria on the international stage.

The announcement comes as D’Tigress prepare to compete in the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers taking place in Lyon, France from March 11–17, 2026, where Nigeria will once again showcase its excellence in women’s basketball before a global audience.

Speaking on the partnership, Musa Kida, President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, described the agreement as a major step in strengthening the commercial and operational foundation of Nigerian basketball.

“D’Tigress have consistently demonstrated excellence and resilience on the global stage. This partnership with XE Jet reflects the growing confidence of corporate partners in Nigerian basketball and reinforces our commitment to providing our athletes with the support they need to succeed internationally.”

To mark this partnership and celebrate Nigerian excellence in women’s sport, XE Jet will host a Women in Sports Leadership Reception in Lyon during the World Cup Qualifiers.

The exclusive gathering will convene distinguished leaders from sport, diplomacy, and business to support the advancement of women’s basketball and deepen international collaboration around African sport.
