Tesla Plants Flag in Africa with Launch of Casablanca Office

Tesla has officially launched in Africa with a new office in Casablanca, Morocco, marking its first formal presence on the continent. Legally established in May 2025, Tesla Morocco will offer a full suite of Tesla-related services, including vehicle imports and servicing, EV charging installations, and solar and battery system deployments. This expansion comes ahead of Tesla’s planned factory near Kenitra, announced in April. The office opening builds on early signals from 2021, when Tesla installed charging stations in Casablanca and Tangier. Morocco’s strong auto industry, green energy focus, and business-friendly policies made it a natural entry point for the company. If Tesla’s strategy in Morocco, which includes providing renewable energy products and charging solutions, is successful, the company plans to use it as a blueprint for broader African expansion.
