Standard Bank Named One Of The World’s Most Trusted Companies By Newsweek

Standard Bank has been recognised, for the 3rd consecutive year, as one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies in 2025, an accolade awarded by Newsweek in partnership with Statista. This prestigious global honour places Standard Bank among a select group of companies that have earned the confidence of their stakeholders through consistent performance, transparency, and purpose-driven leadership.

The recognition is based on a comprehensive evaluation of trust across customer, investor, and employee dimensions. The process included survey responses from over 65,000 people across 20 countries and sentiment analysis of more than 500,000 online mentions. Thousands of companies were assessed, with only one thousand making the final list. Standard Bank was one of 96 South African companies eligible for consideration, and its inclusion in the final ranking underscores the strength of its reputation both locally and globally.

Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group, Sim Tshabalala says: “This recognition is a powerful endorsement of our purpose, ‘Africa is our home, we drive her growth’. At Standard Bank, we understand that trust is built over time, through every interaction, every decision, and every promise kept. It’s reflected in how we support our customers, how we engage with our employees, and how we deliver value to our investors. Being named one of the world’s most trusted companies is a reflection of the values that guide us and the impact we strive to make across Africa.”

The recognition aligns with Standard Bank’s strategy to deliver sustainable growth and shared value. As the group continues to navigate a rapidly changing financial landscape, trust remains the foundation of its relationships and the guiding principle of its operations.
