Operatives of Lagos Environment Police Command have arrested and detained a 25-year-old lady for allegedly diverting N3 million belonging to an organization into her account.
The Nation Family members Officer of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, showed the arrest to the Information Company of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos.
Hundeyin alleged that the suspect (title withheld) and her alternative co-workers, in a catering corporate, conspired and diverted cash realised from the sale of the corporate’s merchandise into their private accounts.
He stated that the suspects handiest remitted a fragment of the cash to the corporate’s account.
Hundeyin stated, “Over N3 million has thus far been traced to the detained suspect’s account.
“She is in detention under a remand warrant. An investigation is ongoing.”
