NPA establishes one-stop hub to optimise crude gross sales to Dangote Refinery



The Nigerian Ports Authority has introduced the graduation of its position in enforcing the Federal Govt’s directive to coordinate products and services from regulatory, safety, and alternative stakeholders for the graceful execution of the initiative to promote crude oil and petroleum merchandise to the Dangote Refinery in naira.

In a remark excused on Thursday, the Managing Director of the NPA, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho, detectable that the committee, which serves as a one-stop store for the sale of petroleum merchandise in naira, is now housed inside the NPA.

Talking on the inter-agency stakeholders’ assembly at the one-stop store in Lagos, Dantsoho expressed the firm’s constancy to making sure the vital efficiencies to fulfil the mandate.

“We are ready to collaborate and provide the efficiencies required to deliver on this national imperative of ensuring the availability of Premium Motor Spirit and other petroleum products”, Dantsoho mentioned.

He added that the firm is starting a one-stop store to coordinate carrier provision from all regulatory, safety companies, and alternative stakeholders to word of honour the seamless execution of this initiative.

Consistent with him, the initiative aligns with the Federal Govt’s directive to find the one-stop store inside the NPA.

The One-Forbid Store group contains representatives from the NPA, Nigerian Military, Nigerian Nationwide Petroleum Company Restricted, Dangote Workforce, Federal Inland Earnings Carrier, Nigeria Customs Carrier, Nigerian Maritime Management and Protection Company, and the Nationwide Drug Legislation Enforcement Company.

Ms Maureen Ogbonna, a senior legitimate from the NPA’s Marine & Operations Directorate, has been appointed because the focal individual for the OSS.

The PUNCH reviews that the Technical Sub-Committee on Home Gross sales of Crude Oil in Native Forex showed that the availability of crude oil in naira through the NNPC to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery is scheduled to start out on Tuesday, 1 October 2024.

On September 13, 2024, the committee introduced that the Federal Government Council, led through President Bola Tinubu, had authorized the sale of crude to native refineries in naira, along the acquisition of petroleum merchandise in naira.

“From October 1, NNPC will commence the supply of approximately 385,000 barrels per day (kbpd) of crude oil to the Dangote refinery, which will be paid for in naira”, the committee said.
