The Commissioner for Situation and Aqua Assets, Tokunbo Wahab, said on Monday that the folks have been arrested on Saturday, October 19, 2024, for blocking off Raymond Njoku Street in Southwest, Ikoyi, right through a birthday party.
Wahab wrote on X.com, “The Lagos Environment Govt arrested folks, together with the celebrant, tournament planner, musician, and others, for obstructing visitors and developing an environmental nuisance.
“The folks arrested are: an tournament planner, Omolara Ajetumobi; celebrant Ogundare Olubunmi; Musician, Ayodele Busuyi; Tone Engineer, Owoeye Adedayo and a supplier, Akinola Akinkunmi.
“The suspects were arrested for blocking Raymond Njoku Road in Southwest, Ikoyi, during a birthday celebration. They will be tried in court in accordance with the laws of the state.”
The commissioner reiterated that no person was once above the legislation and the environment would now not allow any forget of environment rules.
