Andre’s injury-time winner handed Wolves a 2–1 win over defending champions Liverpool at Molineux in a mid-week Premier League fixture on Tuesday.
After a subdued first half dominated by Liverpool’s possession, Wolves broke the deadlock in the second period. Substitute Tolu Arokodare held off Virgil van Dijk and set up Gomes, who delicately chipped Alisson.

Salah levelled soon after capitalising on a defensive error, but with both sides pushing forward, Andre’s deflected strike ensured the hosts claimed all three points.
Mohamed Salah appeared to have salvaged a point after Rodrigo Gomes gave Wolves the lead, but deep into added time, Andre’s effort deflected off Joe Gomez and flew past Alisson, sparking wild celebrations inside the stadium. It marked the fifth time this season that Arne Slot’s side have conceded a stoppage-time winner.
The result marks Wolves’ third league victory of the campaign. Despite remaining at the bottom of the Premier League table and 11 points from safety, Rob Edwards’ men have now beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa and drawn with Arsenal in their last three home games.
For Liverpool, a win would have moved them level on 51 points with third-placed Manchester United and fourth-placed Aston Villa. Instead, they remain fifth.
