Energy outage hits Gombe, Bauchi, others

Energy outage has affected states throughout the franchise segment of Jos Electrical energy Distribution Corporate because of a fault at the 330kV double-circuit transmission strains from Ugwuji to Makurdi to Jos.

In a remark on Friday, the Head of Company Communications, JEDC, Dr Friday Elijah, mentioned, “The tripping of the lines occurred this afternoon at about 1221 hours today, Friday, 15th November 2024, resulting in the loss of power supply on all our 33KV feeders.”

He disclosed that the Transmission Corporate of Nigeria’s engineers are recently operating to rectify the fault.

“TCN engineers are already assiduously working to rectify the faults,” Elijah added.

Elijah apologised for the inconvenience and expressed esteem for the shoppers’ endurance.

“We hope to restore normal power supply to our esteemed customers as soon as the fault is rectified and power supply is restored back to normalcy. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to serve you better,” he mentioned
