Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has unveiled a 54-man provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, featuring a strong blend of established stars and promising home-based talents.
Captain William Troost-Ekong, star striker Victor Osimhen, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and AFCON 2023 standout goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali headline the provisional list.
Also included are key regulars Maduka Okoye, Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon and Chidera Ejuke.

Five Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) players, Abdulrasheed Shehu, Ebenezer Harcourt, Ekeson Okorie, Chisom Orji and Adekunle Adeleke, have also been handed opportunities to fight for a place in the final squad.
Chelle is expected to prune the list down to 28 players in the coming days.
The Super Eagles will open camp in Egypt on Wednesday, December 10, where they will play friendly matches before heading to Morocco for the tournament, kicking off on December 21.
Nigeria sits in Group C, alongside Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda.
