

A political advocacy group, Kano All Progressive Congress (APC) Integrity frontiers, has endorsed Mohammed Yusuf Jamo as its preferred candidate for the Kano Central Senatorial District, citing his experience, grassroots mobilisation, and commitment to equitable representation.
The group announced its endorsement while addressing journalists in Kano, raising concerns over what it described as years of inadequate representation in the district, which it said had led to poor federal allocations and limited development projects.
Convener of the group, Mallam Auwalu Muhammad, said Jamo possesses the leadership capacity to reposition Kano Central at the national level.
According to him ” Kano Central,in the past lacks good representative in the National Assembly ,thereby denied and deprived the ward it’s necessary developmental projects”
” Therefore,to put a stop to this trend,there is need to mobilise for right candidate capable of tackle the confronting challenges facing the senatorial district ‘he said
“We believe Hon. Jamo is the right man for the job. His proven track record as a grassroots mobiliser makes him uniquely equipped to deliver the equitable representation Kano Central deserves,” he said.
The group highlighted Jamo’s extensive political experience, noting his role in community mobilisation and humanitarian interventions across Kano State.
It also pointed to his national honour as Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) as recognition of his contributions to public service.
Secretary of the group,
Ambassador Abdullahi Mohammed, described Jamo as a compassionate and outspoken leader who has consistently championed justice and inclusive governance.
“His grassroots mobilisation has transformed communities, and he will ensure Kano Central is no longer shortchanged,” he said.
According to the group, Jamo’s profile includes youth empowerment initiatives, support for women’s participation in politics, and advocacy for improved governance—qualities it said make him a strong contender capable of prioritising infrastructure, education, and economic development in the district.
The endorsement also referenced Jamo’s alignment with the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing him as a trusted ally of the governor and a supporter of the state’s governance agenda.
Kano APC Integrity Frontiers further called on stakeholders within the APC ,to unite behind Jamo, expressing confidence that his emergence would improve representation and restore balance for Kano Central constituents.
