…says I’m not afraid of political coalition gang

President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, vowed that he would not give up on the ongoing plans to reform Nigeria’s economy despite pressures forced by the hardships experienced by Nigerians

The President stated this when he hosted members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State at the presidential Villa, Abuja.

The President said his Administration is using this as an opportunity of lifetime to break the country from the shackle of poverty, ignorance, to put freedom in the hearts of Nigerians and ensure that democracy survives

According to him, “This is an opportunity of lifetime to break the shackle of poverty, ignorance. To put freedom in the hearts of our people. To ensure democracy survives. Not the noise making. Not the rascality of a street convention.”

The President while berating members of the opposition parties, said his government would not “submit to disobedience of a lawful order of the court. We must embrace the judiciary. Whether it favors us or it doesn’t. We submit to this principle of democracy. Separation of power and understanding of the dynamics of it.”

He charged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to work towards building one country, adding that ” There’s no other path that we embrace to national greatness. Other than build one nation, one common vision for progress and the prosperity, of our people. That’s what we must do. That’s what Renew Hope is all about.”

The President stressed that Nigerians must be given hope.
“Try as much as possible. Men and women of integrity that are here in this room. To build a Nigeria”, he noted.

Speaking further on the coalition gang up against his Administration, President Tinubu said he wasn’t scared.

“You want to scare me off? It’s a lie. I went through this path before. And if I have to come back over and over and over again, I’ll do the same thing.

“There is no better place than your own country, and no one can build it, except you. We saw great things, we’ve seen skyscrapers, we wondered how the plane takes off and fly out from one destination to the other.

“These are no magic of yesterday. It is the thinker of tomorrow and the future that can elevate life, that can reform us all. And being a transformative leader that you are, you are in good company”, President Tinubu explained.

He charged them to avoid fears, adding that “Don’t be afraid. I have listened to you. This economy, I didn’t have to look back because the truth is, I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me, he was a partner. And if I took over from him, is that not from myself? So, if something is wrong, fine. Live with it, correct it, move on.”

The President, who described life as a voyage, said,” It is not going to be easy. And so many of you that are traveling with me, I can only stand before you and say you will not regret it.

“That is why we ask you to renew their hope. If they don’t want to see the hope and the roads we build and the children we raise and the economy we are growing, we lend them jiggy bola glasses. We give them eye glasses. I can assure you, whatever I do. But one thing that you need from me is a promise that I won’t run away from you.

“With you, the deal is done. No other thing and whatever we need to do, coordinate from the ward level” .

President Tinubu described the primaries that brought him to power as “tough”, adding that” During the general election, it was tough”, adding that he overcame all the challenges

The President also noted that those trying to take over power from have history of failures that shows that they lack capacity to govern Nigeria.

“None of them is without history, the head was the Chairman of the National Council on Privatization NCP, in this country, one time, they privatized the steel industry in Delta State, is it working today? No. They privatized the Ajaokuta Steel, is it working today? No.

“Go on with the list. They privatised another man’s political party. That one said no.”
