AI-powered teaching platform to bridge gap in educational resources, as students body lauds Ogun govt.



The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) has expressed optimism that the AI-powered teaching platform recently launched in Ogun State will bridge the gap in educational resources and provide students with a more interactive and engaging learning experience.

While commending Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun State, over the launch to enhance the delivery quality knowledge and education development in the state, the students body said that “the AI-powered Teaching Platform is a testament to the Ogun State government’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve education. The platform will provide students with access to virtual classrooms, online resources, and interactive learning tools, enabling them to learn at their own pace and explore new concepts in a more engaging way.

In a statement jointly signed by Olubodun Olalekan, national president, and Adesanya Peter, general secretary, NAOSS, described the initiative as a groundbreaking one that will revolutionize education in the state, noting that the innovative platform will enhance teaching and learning, providing students with access to cutting-edge technology and equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age.

“The NAOSS applauds the state government’s vision and initiative in introducing this platform, which is expected to improve academic performance and outcomes in the state,” the statement stated.

In a similar vein, the student body has lauded the Ogun State Government for establishing a-100,000 capacity poultry pen in the Odeda Farm Settlement.

According to NAOSS, the agriculture initiative is expected to create job opportunities for youths and students, providing them with a source of income and enabling them to contribute to the state’s economy.

It stated further that the poultry project would provide internship opportunities for students pursuing agric-related programmes, giving them hands-on experience and practical skills in poultry farming.

“The establishment of the poultry pen is a significant step towards promoting agricultural development in Ogun State. The NAOSS believes that this initiative will not only provide employment opportunities, but also contribute to the state’s food security and economic growth.

“The Association commends the state government for its efforts in promoting agricultural development and encouraging youth participation in the sector.

“The NAOSS also notes that the poultry pen project provides entrepreneurship opportunities for out-of-school youths and students engaged in small-scale farming. This initiative will enable them to expand their businesses and increase their income, improving their economic prospects and contributing to the state’s economic growth. The association believes that this project will have a positive impact on the lives of many young people in Ogun State.

“The 100,000 capacity poultry pen is a model of large-scale poultry farming, providing students and youths with exposure to modern agricultural practices and technologies. No doubt, this initiative will inspire more young people to take up agriculture as a career, contributing to the state’s agricultural development and food security.

“The NAOSS appreciates Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commitment to education and youth empowerment. These initiatives demonstrate his administration’s dedication to equipping Ogun State students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. The Association pledges its support for the state government’s efforts in promoting education, youth empowerment, and agricultural development.
