The Power Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has welcomed the appointment of Wola Joseph-Condotti as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco), describing the move as well-suited to the company’s current operational needs.
In a statement reacting to the appointment, the LCCI Power Group said Joseph-Condotti brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of Nigeria’s power distribution landscape, having worked across critical areas of the business and managed complex sector challenges.
Olufemi Bakare, CEO of Fenchurch Power and Chairman, LCCI Power Sector Group, said: “Wola has developed a comprehensive understanding of the power distribution business, having worked across critical areas and navigated complex challenges.
“Her exceptional expertise and proven leadership capabilities make her an ideal fit for the CEO role at Eko Distribution Company.”
Bakare noted that Eko Disco operates in one of Nigeria’s most commercially important electricity markets, serving Lagos and parts of Ogun State, where efficiency, investor confidence and stakeholder engagement are critical to performance.

According to the Group, Joseph-Condotti’s track record in stakeholder management positions her to address persistent challenges in the power sector, including infrastructure constraints, regulatory pressures and service delivery expectations.
“Her deep industry knowledge, combined with her exceptional stakeholder management skills, will enable her to effectively address challenges and capitalise on opportunities, driving growth and returns for Eko Disco’s investors,” the statement added.
The appointment comes at a time when electricity distribution companies are under increasing pressure to improve service reliability, reduce technical and commercial losses, and attract fresh investment amid ongoing power sector reforms.
Joseph-Condotti brings deep institutional knowledge to the role. She currently serves as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of West Power & Gas Limited, Eko Disco’s parent company, and has played a central role in shaping the governance and operational direction of the utility over the years.
She was previously Eko Disco’s pioneer Chief Legal and Company Secretary, a position that placed her at the heart of the company’s transition and restructuring following the privatisation of Nigeria’s power sector.
Her responsibilities at Eko Disco extended far beyond legal functions. Over time, she held several senior management roles, including Head of Regulatory Compliance, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, Supervising Chief of the Customer Service Department, and Data Protection Officer.
