Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Calvin Bassey paid homage to Nigerian football legends Jay-Jay Okocha and Finidi George on Saturday, recreating their iconic dance celebration after the team’s victory over Algeria.
The duo’s tribute came moments after the Super Eagles reached the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a convincing 2-0 win over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech.
Adams and Bassey were spotted performing the memorable dance in a video shared by CAF Online via its Instagram page on Saturday, a routine originally made famous by Jayjay Okocha and Finidi George during Nigeria’s golden era of football in the 1990s.
The Super Eagles’ Saturday victory sets up a semi-final clash against host nation Morocco on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
