
Eighteen players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash against Gabon scheduled for Thursday evening.
The squad opened camp on Sunday, with preparations intensifying on Monday as all available players took part in the first training session under head coach Eric Chelle.
Team captain William Troost-Ekong, along with Calvin Bassey and Benjamin Fredrick, headlined those involved in the session. Also in camp are Wilfred Ndidi, Stanley Nwabali, Tolu Arokodare, Alex Iwobi, Chidozie Awaziem, Chidera Ejuke, Olakunle Olusegun, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
Three more players are expected to join the team before the encounter with Gabon.
